Lexington Bicycle Advisory Committee

Members: thirteen, of whom four are representatives of town boards, eight are interested citizens, plus one life member
Appointed by: Board of Selectmen
Length of Term: Two years, renewable
Appointments made: October 1 annually
Regular Meeting Schedule: Second Thursday of the odd months (January, March, May, July, September, and November) of the year, at 7:30 pm, in Town Hall Room G-15; others as needed. Meetings are open to anyone interested.


This Committee advises the Board of Selectmen on matters relating to the Bikeway, including associated routes, lanes, paths and bicycle parking so as to serve the best interests of the Town of Lexington and its citizens and the neighboring communities affected by the facility.

Criteria for Membership

Membership consists of one representative each from the Board of Selectmen, the Planning Board, the Conservation Commission, and the Recreation Committee, and eight concerned citizens. The latter are chosen to represent the interests of users and abutters as well as to include people whose talents and skills may assist the Committee in carrying out its assignments. Also there is one life member.
